Howard Weiss
Pacific Teck’s founder and Managing Director, Howard Weiss has more than 25 years of experience in Asian sales and management. He has been responsible for operations and business development for various global IT companies in the Pacific Rim region. Howard started his career in Japan representing Quadtel Corporation, a PC and server software startup. Howard also served as a director of Phoenix Technologies Ltd., the global leader in system-enabling solutions for PCs and servers. During Howard’s 8-year tenure at Phoenix, he grew their Japanese operations tenfold to over US$40 million annually. At BakBone Howard started the operation from the ground up opening offices in 8 countries in Asia and hiring over 60 employees. Howard has held regional Vice President management positions at supercomputer leading edge companies Voltaire (now Mellanox) and Data Direct Networks. Fluent in Japanese, Howard holds a BA from the University of Michigan.
