Pacific Teck Supports Two High Speed Interconnects:

Intel® Omni-Path Architecture (Intel® OPA) by Intel

What is Intel® Omni-Path Architecture (Intel® OPA)?

Intel Omni-Path Architecture (OPA) is a type of interconnect, comparable to Infiniband and Ethernet. OPA is based on Infiniband, Cray Ares, and Intel proprietary technologies. In “cluster computing,” interconnects allow servers to communicate with one another in order to work together to process information.

InfiniBand by Mellanox

Pacific Teck staff has been working with InfiniBand technology for over a decade since the introduction of SDR and DDR and has completed countless projects using QDR, FDR and EDR which is tightly linked to the software we provide. We are now working on planning our first HDR sites.

Our staff has architected the InfiniBand switch topology at some of the largest sites in around Asia Pacific. We understand MOFED, subnet managers, how to integrate to reduce the number of switch hops, how to build complicated switch topologies, cabling issues. We also have experience with installation of Mellanox Ethernet adapters.

If there is anything related to InfiniBand that we can be of assistance with please feel free to ask us.
